Tezpur University was established by an Act of Parliament in 1994. The objects of this Central University as envisaged in the statutes are that it shall strive to offer employment oriented and interdisciplinary courses to meet the regional to national aspirations and the development of the state of Assam and also offer courses and promote research in areas which are of special and direct relevance to the region and in the emerging areas in Science and Technology.
A ‘Walk-in-Interview’ will be held on 21/10/2013 (Monday) at 11.00 AM in the Department of Food Engineering and Technology, Tezpur University to fill up one (01) vacancyin a DST sponsored research project in collaboration with CFTRI, Mysore entitled “Design and Development of Vacuum Frying System for the Production of Healthy Snacks Products” in the Department of Food Engineering and Technology, Tezpur University.
- Position : One (01) Junior Research Fellow (JRF).
- Qualification : M.Tech in Food Technology/Food Engineering and Technology preferably with valid GATE score. Or, First Class M.Sc in Food Technology/Food Processing Technology/Food Science preferably with GATE.
- Fellowship : Rs. 16,000.00 (Rupees Sixteen Thousand) only per month (Fixed).
- Duration : 2(Two) years or till completion of the project, whichever is earlier.
- Age : Candidate should not be more than 28 years of age on the date of interview. Upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years in the case of candidate belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Women/Physically Challenged applicants
