JRF position vacant @ CFTRI

Central Food Technological Research Institute(CFTRI), Mysore (A constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific and Industrial research, New Delhi) came into existence during 1950 with the great vision of its founders, and a network of inspiring as well as dedicated scientists who had a fascination to pursue in-depth research and development in the areas of food science and technology.
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for
Job Title : Junior Research Fellow (one) on a temporary contractual basis
Project title :  "Development of bench-scale prototype reactor - extraction system for integrated CO2 sequestration, Aquatic Microbial Oxygenic Photoautotrophs (AMOPs) cultivation and conversion to value added products (food & biofuel)" (GAP-0394), funded by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, tenable at Department of Plant Cell Biotechnology (PCBT), CSIR-CFTRI, Mysore, Karnataka.
Essential Qualification : First Class M.Sc, in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Biosciences/Life Sciences/Botany with good academic records and should have been qualified for lecturership in National Eligibility Test conducted by CSIR-UGC. or First class in B. Tech. /M.Tech. in Biotechnology with good academic record and should possess valid GATE score card.
Emoluments: Rs.12,000/- per month plus HRA as per CSIR/DBT rules.
Terms & Conditions:
  • Candidates should not have exceeded 28 years of age as on 15-11-2013 i.e., the last date of receipt of applications for the post.
  • The engagement of JRF is exclusively for the above mentioned project.
  • The engagement will be contractual and on purely temporary basis in the project funded by DBT, Govt. of India for a maximum period of ELEVEN MONTHS and is co-terminus with the project, if the project terminates earlier.
  • The engagement under externally funded project does not confer any right/claim whatsoever either explicitly or implicitly on the appointee for regular appointment in CSIR/CFTRI, against any post or otherwise under any legal conditions precedent.
  • No TA/DA will be given to the candidates for attending the interview.
