Freshers can apply for Project Assistant post at CFTRI, Mysore

Central Food Technological Research Institute(CFTRI), Mysore (A constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific and Industrial research, New Delhi) came into existence during 1950 with the great vision of its founders, and a network of inspiring as well as dedicated scientists who had a fascination to pursue in-depth research and development in the areas of food science and technology. 

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for Two [02] positions of Project Assistants on a temporary contractual basis in the research project entitled "Production of emerging prebiotic pecticoligosaccharides from coffee pulp: a novel approach for waste management"[GAP435] funded by Dept. of Biotechnology, Government of India, New Delhi tenable at Fermentation Technology and Bioengineering, CSIR-CFTRI, Mysore during the period 2013-16.

• No of Post : Two
• Essential Qualification : First Class postgraduate degree in science with specialization in Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology or M.Tech in Industrial Biotechnology / Industrial Microbiology / Biotechnology with good academic record. 
• Desirable : Experience in working with microbial fermentation. 
• Emoluments : Rs.12,000/- consolidated 

Candidates should not have exceeded 28 years of age as on 07-10-2013 i.e. the last date of receipt of applications for the post. Relaxation in age is applicable for SC/ST and date as per rule. 

Terms & Conditions:

• The engagement of Project Assistant is exclusively for the above mentioned project.
• The engagement will be contractual and on purely temporary basis in the project for a maximum period of one year and is co-terminus with the project, if the project terminates earlier.
• The engagement under externally funded project does not confer any right/claim whatsoever either explicitly or implicitly on the appointee for regular appointment in CSIR/CFTRI, against any post or otherwise under any legal conditions precedent.
• No TA/DA will be given to the candidates for attending the interview.
