National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health (NIRRH), formerly known as Institute for Research in Reproduction is a premier research institute of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). It is situated in the vicinity of a number of hospitals and research institutes in central Mumbai. Since its inception in 1970, it has been making vigorous efforts to improve the reproductive health of people through research, education and health care services. The Institute is affiliated to the University of Mumbai which awards degrees to the M.Sc. and Ph.D students in the areas of Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Biochemistry and Applied Biology. The Institute is one of the few centers in India , which can boast of a team of basic, clinical and operational research scientists and state-of-art laboratories equipped with modern facilities to carry out research on various components of reproductive health.

Project Title: "Autoimmune markers for diagnosis of endometriosis"
- Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
- Qualification: First Class M.Sc. degree in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Zoology from recognized university and NET qualified or Post graduate degree in basic sciences who have NET qualified for lecturership.
- Emoluments: Rs. 16,000/- + 30% HRA p.m. OR Rs. 12,000 p.m. + 30% HRA for Post Graduate (PG) Degree in Basic Science who have NET qualified for lectureships.
Project Title: "Defining the role of glucose regulated protein 78 (GRP78) in Sperm MOTILITY"
- Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
- Qualification:
- Essential: First Class M.Sc. degree in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Zoology from recognized universities who have NET qualified for lecturership
- Desired:One year experience in research in reproductive biology
- Emoluments: Rs. 12000/- + 30% HRA
Project Title: "Structural and functional characterization of marmoset (Callithrix jacchus) follicle stimulating hormone"
- Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
- Qualification:
- Essential: First Class M.Sc. degree in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Zoology from recognized university and NET qualified OR Post graduate degree in basic sciences who have NET qualified for lecturership.
- Desired: Experience of 2 years in cloning, expression of recombinant proteins.
- Emoluments: Rs. 16,000/- + 30% HRA p.m. OR Rs. 12,000 p.m. + 30% HRA for Post Graduate (PG) Degree in Basic Science who have NET qualified for lectureships.
- Post: Project Fellow
- Qualification: 1 st Class M.Sc. Desired: Experience of 1-2 years in protein purification , immunoassay etc.
- Emoluments: Rs. 8000/- p.m.
Project Title: "Studies to understand the tertiary structure – dependence on antimicrobial activity of 2 novel peptides"
- Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
- Qualification:
- Essential: Post Graduate (PG) Degree in Basic Sciences and NET qualified. (Preferably Bioinformatics) / Graduate Degree in Professional Courses and GATE or Equivalent Qualification OR Post Graduate (PG) Degree in Basic Sciences and NET qualified for Lectureship.(Preferably Bioinformatics).
- Desired: Good knowledge of protein structures; experience in use of bioinformatics tools; knowledge in computer programming and database creation
- Emoluments: 16000 + 30% HRA p.m. for post Graduate (PG) degree in Basic Science and NET qualified. OR Rs. 12,000 p.m. + 30% HRA for Post Graduate (PG) Degree in Basic Science who have NET qualified for lectureships.
- Age Limit: 28 years
- Duration: 3 years
- Note:
- Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PH Candidates will be as per the government rules.
- Qualification/degree should be from a reputed Institution/University.
- Mere fulfilling the essential qualification/experience does not guarantee for selection.
