Walk in interview for the post of "Research Assistant" [01 post] - Banana Micropropagation at the Tissue Culture Section, VSI to be held on 04th July 2012 at 10.00 a.m.

Compensation (per month) : Rs.12,000/- per month fixed
Starting Emolument : Approximate Rs. 1,44,000/- per annum

Job Profile :1)To develop mother cultures from meristems of Grand Naine variety of banana and produce plantlets as per the target and other laboratory work..
2)To look after hardening of the TC banana plantlets under green house and shade net.
3)To look after field trials of banana plantlets..

Candidate Profile : Young dynamic candidate, having Masters Degree in Biochemistry/ Biotechnology / Botany with first class. Experience in relevant banana micropropagation will be appreciated.
Qualification : M.Sc. in Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Botany with first class.
Experience : Minimum 3 years experience in banana micropropagation.

Terms & Conditions :1. Appointment is on contractual basis for a period of 11 months only.
2. Walk in interview to be held on 04th July 2012 at 10.00 a.m. in VSI campus at Manjari.
