Applications are invited for the JRF & PA position
IIAR invites applications for two junior research fellows (JRFs) and one project assistant (PA-II) to carry out research under the project entitled “Carbon sequestration potential of Albizzia lebbeck in intercropping and co-cultivation systems with economic crops and plant growth promoting microorganisms” supported by Department of Science and Technology (DST). Research will focus on understanding temporal and spatial variations in soil CO2 efflux as component of carbon sequestration in woody legume trees intercropped with annual crop plants.
Position- Two Junior research Fellows (JRFs)
Emoluments: Rs 16,000 p.m. for 1st two years and Rs 18,000 p.m. for the 3rd year
Eligibility:
- First class in M.Sc. (in Botany, Plant Science, Environmental Sciences, Forestry, Wild Life, Biodiversity, and Biotechnology).
- Preference will be given to CSIR, UGC-NET, DBT-JRF and/or experience in the area of ecology).
- Freshers can also apply.
Position- One Project assistant (PA)
Emoluments: Rs 8.000 per month consolidated
Eligibility: First class in M.Sc. (in any branch of Life Sciences).
The research work requires combined efforts in fields, greenhouse and lab work and also local travel to various field stations within Gujarat. All positions on this project are purely on temporary basis for duration period of the project. It is not an appointment with the institute and will not confer any right of the incumbent to any permanent position.
