Applications are invited on plain paper in the prescribed format (Annexure II) which is also displayed on NEERI’s website for engagement as Project Assistant Level-III on behalf of the sponsor as per the following details :

Project title : Development of a hybrid process for biogas generation potential from complex industrial effluent: Experimental and Modeling studies (NEERI-IISc)
Prescribed educational qualification : First class B.E./B.Tech. Biotechnology 
Job requirement :

• Development of hybrid process for selective pre-treatment of complex effluent and biogas generation potential
• Characterization of model effluent for organic and colour pre & post treatment using LCMS and NMR
• Engineering analysis and process optimization
• Process modeling using BIC (in collaboration with IISc)

Consolidated fixed remuneration (p.m.) : Rs.12,000/-

Duration of the project : 3 years
Age limit : 28 years (relaxation admissible as per rules of Govt. of India)

The engagement is purely on a temporary basis which may be extended or curtailed depending on the duration of the sponsored project, satisfactory performance / conduct of the appointee. The engagement will be co-terminus with the project duration. The engagement shall not be an appointment CSIR/NEERI, temporary or otherwise. It would, therefore, not confer any right / claim, implicit or explicit for consideration for regularization/absorption.

• Essential qualifications : B.Tech in Biotech. (1 Post) First Class in M.Sc. Microbiology. Desirable: candidates having research experience will be prefered.
• Job Requirement : Construction of open pans, mass cultivation of Microalgae/ Microbes. The posts are purely temporary for duration of sponsored project/scheme only. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidates for claiming extension or absorption in CSMCRI/CSIR.
• Age : Candidates should not be more than 28 years as on 18th May, 2011. However, upper age limit may be relaxed as per CSIR rules for the SC/ ST/ OBC/ Handicapped candidates.
